Lake Eden: We will be swimming at the lake this Friday! Please send a towel, swim suit, and flip flops for our last big day at the lake. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to join us!

Move out: If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to sign up for your family’s move-out shift. Each family is required to put in 4 hours toward moving out of the school. Shifts will run from 8:30-12:30 and 12:30-4:30 starting on Saturday, May 15. We need at least two more heavy lifters to sign up for the Saturday afternoon shift.

Graduation and moving-up ceremony: Graduation/moving-up for all TLC students is on Thursday, May 20 at White Horse Black Mountain with a rockin’ party at Mr. Tom’s to follow. Your attendance is important. New-to-TLC families are welcome, as well! See the separate info sheet for more specifics.

Volunteers Needs:
For the graduation party, we need support in the following areas.
Parking – 2 parents to leave right after graduation and help Mr. Tom set up for parking; then direct cars as they arrive.
Zipline – 3 parents to rotate in 30-minute shifts for zipline supervision. There is no zipline without supervision.
Fire starter and tender – 1 parent to start the fire and periodically check in on it (or pass it off to another parent at the fire).
Ice – We need folks to bring bags of ice for the coolers.
Clean up – We need as many as volunteers as we can rustle up to commit to cleaning up near the end of the party.

Costume note from Ms. Theresa: In an effort to build up a costume stock, I have not announced a costume sale this year. However, when a piece has been specifically requested by a parent, I have sold it to them. Costumes have been packed away, but I can still pull them if I get a request by this Friday. Please email me at theresa@thelearningcommunity.org. Thanks so much!
